SAE is spearheaded by its founder Mr. Samitha Hewawsam who also functions as the Managing Director overseeing day-to-day operations. An agriculture academic with over 45 years of hands-on experience in plantation and livestock management, Mr. Samitha concurrently serves as the Managing Director/ Consultant at another leading plantation management company in Sri Lanka. His experience, knowledge, skills, technical know-how, innovativeness, and commercial agriculture acumen has significantly contributed to building both organizations into sustainable success stories. He has travelled extensively for agro-related study, research, and consultancy purposes to countries such as Malaysia, Vietnam, India, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa.
